i watched blue valentine (finally) the day after my summer class ended. never before has it been so clear that ryan gosling perfectly embodies the hipster american dream, the boy we're all searching for and finding abs. impossible to find. his accent kills, his rugged yet innocent all-american (he's canadian, ha!) looks slay, and he harkens to the likes of dicaprio, phoenix, cobain, and christopher owens (seriously, twins.) crazy stupid love kicked romantic comedy ass because of ry-guy's slaps, smirks, and emotional-baggage-wall breakdown. divine.
